Cancelling an engagement
You can cancel an engagement by writing to us. Tell us as early as possible, because our team begins work as soon as documents are in.
Before work begins
If you cancel before we start work, we refund the professional fees you paid, after deducting any expenses we have already paid on your behalf.
After work begins
Fees for work already done, such as drafting, document review or filings submitted, are not refundable. If you cancel part-way, we refund the fee for the part of the service we have not started, if any.
Government and third-party charges
Government fees, stamp duty, digital signature charges, trademark fees and similar third-party charges are paid to those bodies and cannot be refunded by us. If an authority refunds them, we pass the amount on to you.
If we cannot complete the service
If we cannot complete a service for reasons that are our own, we refund the fee for the part not performed. Rejections and delays caused by authorities, third parties or incomplete information from you are not grounds for a refund.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid by bank transfer to the account the payment came from, within a reasonable time after approval.
